Herbal Education Booth at the Sip N Shop – May 3rd

Connecting through plants and learning at my herbal education booth

On May 3rd, I set up a Growing Traditions herbal education booth at the Sip N Shop, hosted at Wine 121, bringing along a selection of vibrant herbal plant starts, free educational handouts and a curated table of books and resources to explore.

I also debuted my brand-new trivia game for visitors, with questions on gardening, natural health and herbal healing — a fun way to spark conversation and curiosity. While foot traffic was quiet, I still had meaningful conversations with fellow vendors, shared herbal wisdom with a few, and sent home some beautiful plants and new ideas for using herbs in daily life.

For me, every event — no matter the size — is a valuable opportunity to share herbal knowledge, connect with others and keep traditional practices alive. Whether it’s one visitor or one hundred, I find joy in making these teachings accessible, personal and rooted in real-world applications.

As part of my mission through Growing Traditions, I aim to create spaces for herbal education wherever I go — even if it’s just a quiet booth tucked between sips of wine and artisan shopping. Events like Sip N Shop remind me that healing wisdom doesn’t need a crowd to be meaningful.

Also at this event was Twin Lee, my daughters’ handmade crochet business.

Herbal education booth at Sip N Shop featured a banner, trivia game, curated books, free herbal handouts and spring plant starts — herbs, vegetables and blooms.
